Free online chess trial lesson for kids
In a half-hour trial lesson, your child can experience what it’s like to learn chess online!
I will help set up the technical details and get to know them to recommend the best group for their level. This is a perfect introduction to online chess for kids, combining learning and fun in an engaging environment.
During the free chess trial lesson:
We get to know your child via Zoom, solve puzzles, and complete fun tasks on the screen. If they already know how to play chess, we will solve chess puzzles and play on Lichess while I assess their skills. If they are new to chess, there will be beginner-friendly puzzles they can solve, and we’ll also play the Bunny Game! They’ll love it! 🙂 This session is ideal for children exploring chess for the first time or improving their skills with our unique approach to chess for children.
Only 1–4 children participate in the trial lesson at a time, ensuring plenty of personal attention.
The trial lesson is free for one session and takes place online, via Zoom. However, please ensure that if you sign up, you attend – or inform me if you cannot make it, as I will be sitting by the computer, ready to play chess with your child!
Children aged 5–14, whether complete beginners, advanced players, or even competitors, are welcome to discover the exciting world of online chess for kids!

Choose time
Read This Before Registering:
You can join the chosen day/time if you register at least 12 hours in advance. If you register within 12 hours, you can attend next week instead.
Advanced Level Trial:
Join here if your child knows the rules confidently. If they understand what „checkmate” means and have already played normal chess games, they are welcome to join. It is not a problem if they mainly lose in these chess games and hardly ever win. 🙂 It is our job to help with that! But if your child already wins a lot, this is still a good choice for the trial!
Beginners’ Trial Lesson:
Your child can join if they aren’t sure about the rules of the game, have not really played full chess games, or have only played with the help of an adult. Your child can also join if they do not know anything about chess yet! In this type of trial lesson, we do fun exercises where knowledge of the rules of chess is not necessary.
